"Dad"
To support our family, my father seemed to be on an infinite commute into the big city and back. To earn extra money he proudly built chimneys that stood the test of time. My dad taught me patience and for 20 years I thought he was the author of the quote, "God is in the details." This image is actually three panoramic negatives lovingly stitched together using Photoshop to paint the transitions. There are exactly 63,910,875 pixels in the original file for this image...and every single one of them was caressed in some way to make the final print.
I was on my way back to Achill Island for the night when I saw this scene unfolding before me and could not pass it by. It was shot using a Hasselblad Xpan camera, a 30mm lens, and a tripod deeply immersed in peat bog.
